We are the Hampshire 40+ Walking Group. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Its going to be hot and sunny - please bring plenty of water.
We will walk from Cheriton village, across part of the site of the English Civil War battle, touching the edge of Bramdean and looping back through Hinton Ampner to Cheriton. It's an easy walk on gently rolling terrain, with good views.
Anyone and everyone welcome. We invite members of other Rambler groups and anyone wanting to try out the Ramblers.
Dogs are welcome with well behaved owners. There are parts of the walk where dogs will need to be kept on a lead. At the time of the recce there were no livestock on the route but this cannot new guaranteed on the day.
There are 3 or 4 stiles on route.
Please arrive by 10:45 so we can make a prompt start.
There will be a lunch stop on route so please bring some food for yourself.

Afterwards we will visit the very popular Flowerpots pub, renowned for its beer brewed on the premises. This visit is optional but it's only 60 yards away. Your walk leader will be going there, he cannot resist it.
