Overview

The direct train leaves Telford Central at 9.58, Leader will join at Wellington at 10.06. The train arrives at Chirk at 10.49. Return train arrives in Telford at 16.51. 
This 10 mile walk starts by going to the grounds of Chirk Castle, then follows part of the Offa's Dyke path to the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, returning via the canal towpath.

There is lots of interest on the Llangollen Canal .   We stop for lunch at Trevor Basin then return by walking over the world famous aqueduct and through the 170 metre Whitehouse tunnel, then optionally through the 421 metre Chirk tunnel to  the Chirk aqueduct, where we will briefly step into England before returning to Chirk station.
