This is the last walk in a tri-part chocolate café series, a lovely 10 mile circular walk around Wokingham and Crowthorne, with a visit just before the end to the Chocolate Café in Holme Grange Craft Village just on the outskirts of Wokingham.
This walk requires advance booking via Meetup (see Website link). Please do not turn up without booking. If you are unable to use Meetup but would like to attend, please either ask someone else to register you as their guest, or email walkbookings@berkshirewalkers.co.uk with your request.
Pace: medium.
Walk details
Starting from Wokingham station, we will head towards Chapel Green before following a path close to the railway line that goes through a lovely forest of Gorrick plantation.
After a brief bit of road walking, we will head through more forest before coming out of Crowthorne and towards East Berkshire Golf Club. Please take care to look for golfers playing whilst going through this section of the walk.
Eventually we will arrive at Heath Lake for our lunch stop before entering another part of the forest we passed through earlier. After passing through some farmland, we will arrive at the final chocolate café stop of our series in Holme Grange. After a well-deserved hot chocolate, we will make our way back into Wokingham for our walk’s conclusion.
