This year we are doing something a bit different for our annual Christmas event: a 5 mile circular walk from Shepherdswell, with a stop at Eythorne for an afternoon tea with a twist: a 3 -tier stand with Christmas style foods including cheese and bacon Scones, turkey and stuffing sandwiches, brie and cranberry sandwiches, mince pies and other Christmas favourites.
The walk will start at the later than usual time of 11.30am
Our tea will be served at 1pm in The Jubilee Carriages, a 3-coach converted train situated at Eythorne Station. It is a Class 365 electric train, recently retired from service, which was used by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh to get to Sandringham.
We then walk back to Shepherdswell.
If you wish to come just for the tea at 1PM (but not for the walk), there is a small car park at Eythorne Station.
BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL for this event.
The price is £20 per head. Teas, coffees and soft drinks are included, with the option to purchase alcoholic beverages if you wish.
Please email briancane01303@gmail.com to reserve your place by the
27th November.
