A very pleasant walk taking in Basingstoke Canal, Wellesley Woods and Caesar’s Camp Area to whet your appetite before our Group Christmas Lunch for those that have booked. Non diners are welcome to join us.
Army Golf Club Car Park This can be accessed by the iron bridge off of the A323 or via the A325 which is signposted off the north bound carriageway. Please note that the Eelmoor (Iron) Bridge on the Fleet Road is closed until mid February 2026. The only access to the Army Golf Club is via Forge Lane off of the northbound carriageway of the A325 heading towards Farnborough. Follow the signs for Blandford & Laffan House, there is a sign to the Golf Club on the right hand side of road however it is small and can be easily missed. The through road along Forge Lane is currently closed and is due to open on Friday 19th December. If it is open follow that road to a T junction and turn right and follow that road for about half a mile and you will see the golf course on both your left and right, go over a sleeping policeman and you will see the Club House on your right. Turn into the car park here. If it remains closed follow the diversion sign, turning left at a small crossroads and follow that road in a U shape and that will bring you to the same road as outlined above.
