There were no hazards, stiles or animals encountered on the pre-walk, so the walk (and pub) are dog friendly.

Some tracks are uneven so boots recommended.

There will be a break so please bring your own refreshments.

At the end of the walk you can see remains of  12th century motte and bailey earthworks and the impressive Norman church of St Michael the Archangel.

The Dovecote pub will be open for drinks at the end of the walk.

Start The Dovecote Inn, Laxton NG22 0SX use the far car park. From Collingham aim for Newark take the A46 south down to the roundabout then A616 Ollerton Road until you come to Laxton. Approx 30 mins from Collingham.
