Deepdene Trail to explore remains of hidden C18 Italianate Garden on edge of Dorking.

Spot a lion (stone) and remains of grotto before views of the Surrey hills.

Then farmland and lunch next to Brockham village green.

Some road walking and 114 steps – alternative sloped path.

Also four low stiles and some areas which can become muddy.

The Reading Room Café at lunch – pasties, cakes and coffee

Or Royal Oak pub serving drinks but no food.

Plenty of benches besides the green and a Spar Shop
