Overview

The walk links the higher ground habitats found on the North Downs with those of the Tillingbourne Valley around the village of Shere. In the morning there is a moderate descent from the North Downs Way towards Albury Downs. The lunch stop in Shere provides an opportunity to see the Tillingbourne Stream as well as St. James' church, part of which dates to the 12th Century. Pub and public toilets in the village. In the afternoon an ascent (steep in places) to reach Netley Park. There are two short sections of roadside walking on this walk. See Website and Walkers Pages for car sharing process.
