Meet by the main doors of St Thomas Church. The walk will take us long the Royal Military Canal before going through pastures to join the 1066 Country Walk trail at Lower Snailham, through Icklesham and back to Winchelsea. Fairly flat walk at a moderate pace. We'll be stopping for a picnic, weather permitting. Hopefully shouldn't be a mud bath! Limited parking at the back of the church, otherwise free on-street parking elsewhere in the village. Allow the possibility of a couple of minutes walk to the church.
