Meon Ramblers welcome people of all ages. Our weekly walks explore the varied countryside and coast of Hampshire and West Sussex.
The walk heads north west over Shawford Down towards Compton Down to join the Clarendon Way then on towards St Cross and along the Itchen to Winchester. The return takes us south along the Pilgrims Trail around St Catherine's Hill and over Twyford Down to join the Itchen Way at Hockley
An undulating walk to begin with then flat along the river and the climb over St Catherine's Hill finally a riverside walk back to the car park. A mixture of paths, tracks and metalled roads/paths in the city. Bring a packed lunch for a break in Winchester. Toilets are available in Winchester.
