The route takes us along country lanes, footpaths and bridleways across the south Shropshire Hills. We will walk along part of the Offa's Dyke path beside a very well preserved section of Offa's Dyke. The Jack Mytton way passes through this area as well. There are panoramic views throughout the walk.
There are several sections of walking along quiet lanes. Lots of stiles, some of which are a little tricky. The route passes through fields with cows in a few times. You can take the opportunity to have a look around the atmospheric ruins of Clun Castle when we have finished the walk. Whilst there are no toilet facilities in the car park of the Clun Memorial Hall we will pass free public toilets very near the start/end of the walk. The Postcard Cafe is open until 5pm in Clun should you wish to enjoy refreshments at the end of the walk.
There is a box for voluntary donations for use of the car park at the memorial hall.
