Overview

This is a joint coach trip with Slough U3A to visit Margate. Margate is a Victorian seaside town. It has an interesting old town and a museum. Other attractions are a shell grotto, crab museum, and a harbour. Please note that the Turner Contemporary is closed on Mondays. You can catch the local LINK bus to visit Broadstairs and Ramsgate. 

Turner and Dickens Walk from Margate to Broadstairs

This is a 4-mile walk connecting these 2 towns with points of interest on the way. The walk starts from the Turner Contemporary Museum and finishes at the Dickens Museum in Broadstairs, a delightful seaside town. We return to Margate on the LINK bus. Bring a drink and packed lunch to eat along the way. The entire route is on good paths.
