Overview

Picking up in Kingsclere, where we left off in March, this walk will take us into the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  Much of the farmland here belongs to estates that existed in Saxon times.  We will also walk through Watership Down territory, the Sydmonton Court Estate, owned by Andrew Lloyd Webber, and along the former Didcot, Newbury and Southampton Railway line which became a victim of the Beeching cuts in 1965.  With gentle, rolling hills this will be a relatively easy walk with far reaching views.
