Overview

On this hilly circular walk from Singleton, returning via Cocking Hill and the SDW, the route takes us through open fields and woodland. Ascending from Singleton School to a confluence of paths we head towards Broadham House and continue through Nightingale Woods towards the A286. Having crossed the road we  continue via the bridge over the dismantled railway onwards until we take a right turn to and across the SDW.  After admiring the views we head down Henley Lane Track to Crypt Farm and take the quiet country road to Cocking Village where there is a corner shop selling soft drinks and snacks. We take our time on the Cocking Hill climb towards the SDW. After we get our breath back we head south through Singleton Forest and down the New Lipchis Way back to where we started.
