We are the Castle Bromwich Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Join me on this leisurely walk through the Staffordshire countryside starting from the wooded Kingswood Common towards Codsall and return. We will use mostly farm tracks and field paths and pass Wrottesley Hall and Wrottesley Golf Club before crossing the A41 after which there is some road walking before we pause for a picnic lunch in Codsall. Our return journey of about 2 miles uses parts of the Staffordshire Way and Monarch’s Way which are likely to be muddy in parts. There are a couple of short inclines and 4 stiles. Toilets are rural unless you visit a nearby pub during lunch break.
Meet for car sharing on the service road opposite Aldi on Chester Road Castle Bromwich leaving at 9.00am.
Starting from the small car park in the forested area, Kingswood Common on the Newport Road A41.
