Friday Daffodil Walk.
A walk, hopefully to see wild Daffodils out in flower, which they are, but a little sparse this year.
To save time on the day and the grouping of people together to hear the details of the risk assessment, here it is in writing.
4.4 miles. No stiles, two short but sharp climbs, one aided by steps behind aqueduct cottage. And a steady climb up through Bow Wood. Dogs on Leads please.
Risk assessment Take care as we walk beside the river on the road from Lea Bridge, keep right and in single file when traffic approaches. We also cross the road at Lea Bridge. Take care when crossing the Derwent bridge to enter car park. Short climbs could be slippery if wet. Woodland paths are slippery and muddy and tree roots, a tripping hazard, take care if wet. The last mile + is downhill and flat along the road. Morning break amongst the Daffodils. One mile along the canal, beware of cyclists and other walkers.
