Daffodils.
A walk with David on our annual Friday expedition to view the woodland Daffodils. On a mixture of hard surfaces, woodland paths and tracks. Three two-step stiles. The woodland paths are undulating, two short steeper bits which now have been improved by new steps being added. The first mile easy along the canal path. Toilets after first mile. Coffee/tea break by the daffodils. (2.1 miles) Dogs on Leads please.
Risk assessment Take care when crossing the road from the car park, roadside parked cars can obscure view of oncoming traffic. If wet, the wooden stiles could be slippery, they are covered with wire net, so shouldn’t prove too difficult. Also, if wet some of the narrow woodland paths will be muddy, slipping hazard. Take care when crossing the road at Lea Bridge, good sight lines. We regain the road once more, near to the train station, take care, it’s quite a step down to the narrow pavement, a good hand rail is provided.
Several fields with sheep, so dogs on leads at all times please.
