Overview

Pen y Garn is officially a 'mountain' at over 600 metres, but is a very gradual easy ascent from the Cwmystwyth area . Initially the route goes up a more challenging steep ascent of Graig y Ddalfa from near the Ystwyth mine. The walk is varied & beautiful , occasionally requiring 'off path' walking through harder terrain, but great views all the way.
