We are the Basildon Greenway Ramblers.
A walk through Danbury Common, Lingwood Common and Danbury Country Park. The area is quite hilly so the walk is a relatively short 3.6 miles. Plenty of pretty places to stop for a rest.
Wednesday wanders are short walks, typically 3.5 to 4.5 miles, taken at a leisurely pace with frequent breathers if required. Ideal for new walkers and those who appreciate a bit more scenery appreciation and a bit less hiking. There may be stiles, but typically no more than 3, and of course, mud. Walking boots and appropriate clothing essential.
National Trust car park on Bicknacre Road. Travelling south along Bicknacre Road, the entrance is on the left, just past the junction with Plumptre Lane, which is on the right.
