Overview

BOOKING REQUESTED

Slough off the excesses of the 4 day festive period with a leisurely/moderate walk along country roads, field paths, tracks and a canal towpath. From the start NW towards Daresbury Delph, then across fields to S of Daresbury Church. South to Hall Lane Farm, then tracks and paths to Outer Wood. Cross A56 to Moore to join Bridgewater Canal. Proceed past Walton Hall leaving at Hough Lane bridge then tracks before crossing Walton Hall Golf Course. Through wood then track to Hatton, over M56 to Summer Lane to walk back to the cars.

Risk assessment: Country lanes with associated traffic and possibility of farm vehicles. Fields and canal path may be muddy after wet weather. Cross the A56 which could be busy. Possible livestock in some of the fields. Uneven surfaces in some fields, through the wood and along the canal towpath with exposed tree roots. Likely shared use of the canal towpath.
