Let's gather at the convenient car park in Darley Abbey, located adjacent to the cricket ground at DE22 1DX. Please note that access to Darley Abbey is only available via the A6, as the bridge is currently closed to traffic.
Our exciting itinerary includes exploring the charming Darley Abbey, where we'll have the opportunity to visit the National Hydrangea Garden and follow the scenic Derwent Heritage Way. As we proceed, we'll pass through Breadsall and venture along the former Derby to Nottingham railway route, which was once closed by Dr. Beeching's axe.
Our journey continues with a glimpse of the illustrious Old Derby Race Course and a trip to Little Chester, where we can explore the location of a fascinating Roman Bath House. The tranquil banks of the River Derwent will accompany us as we make our way back to Darley Abbey.
To conclude our delightful journey, we can head to The Paper Mill for refreshing drinks, where we can unwind and share stories of our exploration.
Please join us for this event and many others by RSVPing on our website.
