Meet at public car park opposite the Co-op in Fyvie, from there we will cross back over the River Ythan taking a short section of road to a landrover path into Den Wood. At the half way mark through the woods we will cross the Fordoun Burn and continue up two steep sections of path where there are superb views, until we reach Craig-an Gobhair Well. At this point the path disappears, walking on the edge of field and over rough terrain down to the road where we started. From the well to the road no more than a few hundred mtrs.
We will go back through the village main road to the signpost for Fyvie Castle., there is a short section of road, no footpath, into a wooded track in the castle grounds. This can be as long or as short as you wish.
Fyvie Castle will not be open until the end of March. Toilets at Cuminestown Rd, Fyvie, near Fyvie Primary School.
Weather at this time can be unpredictable please dress appropriately. Walk length may be changed depending on weather conditions.
