We are the Epsom and Ewell Group of the Ramblers
Climb from Denbies up through the vineyard to Ashcombe Wood, through the woods to Ranmore Common then across some farmland until we reach Polesden Lacey at the half way point. Refreshments and rest rooms available. After a short break, we will head back to Denbies across the Surrey Hills National Landscape, skirting Preserve Copse, Chalk Pit, across Chapel Wood and back down through the vineyard to the car park. Spectacular views. Three hill climbs – Total of ascent 211m (3 climbs - 2 steep - total of 3.5km climbing). Total of descent 243m (3 down hills - total of 4.5km downhill). May be cattle on route.
Free parking.
May be muddy if wet. Advise usual precautions if strong hot sun - bring hat, sunblock and drinking water (beware tall nettles and ticks in summer). Sticks may be beneficial.
