Overview

This walk was originally advertised as "Loggerheads" but the location has been changed at the request of the leaders.

A moderate-grade (C) 6 mile walk centred on Denbigh Castle (North Wales). We start with a tour of the castle walls then follow the course of the Afon Ystrad past the ruins of "Dr Johnson's Cottage", an 18th century house reputedly visited by the acclaimed writer Samuel Johnson.
