We are the Bath Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

This is a beautiful walk from Longbridge Deverill and goes between several pretty villages. It is an airy walk on the Wiltshire Downs with excellent views from the hills.
There are one of two ascents, one of which is quite steep but short, and a couple of gentle descents.
You may find walking poles useful. Please bring plenty of water, plus food for short breaks along the way. Everyone is welcome to join us for refreshments in the George after the walk.
No bus services to Longbridge Deverill on Sundays.
From Bath by car (around 40 minutes, 22 miles): Take the A36 to Warminster bypass. Upon reaching the bypass, keep on the A36. At the 3rd roundabout take the 3rd exit on to the A350 (signed Poole, Blandford). In about 1.7 miles is Longbridge Deverill. Park in Sand Street (opposite the George Inn), or in the George Inn car park.
