Overview

From the main Bolton Road the route takes a country lane which leads into the woods, leading to Tockholes. From there the route goes down Donkey Brew, over the reservoir dam and under Darwen Tower to a break at Ryal Fold where there are toilets. The return to Dole Lane is through the woods and around the reservoirs.
