Overview

A 9 to 10 mile circular walk that takes us from Donisthorpe to Moira Furnace. The distance on the day will depend on whether or not we need to divert around flooded footpaths. The terrain is varied and includes tow path, woodland and agricultural land.
We will meet in Donisthorpe Woodland Centre car park, which offers ample free parking.
There are toilets at Moira Furnace, where we will have our lunch stop, and at the soft play centre next to the car park.

Please note:

  • Please ensure you dress appropriately (jeans are not recommended) and wear sturdy footwear.
  • Please bring sufficient food and drink for the full day.
  • Please RSVP on Meetup if you wish to attend this walk. If you can no longer attend due to a change in plans, then please update your RSVP status as soon as you know.
