Down in the Vale

We make our way along Casthorpe Lane before descending the hill towards Coe Farm. We follow a track past Casthorpe Farm meeting up with Woolsthorpe Lane which we follow until it meets the Viking Way near Stenwith. Now the VW is traffic-free the going underfoot is much easier. 
We cross the A52 and the railway and make our way towards Allington where we will stop for lunch. 
Exiting the village we follow a path past the sewage works skirting Allington Gardens caravan park and a large “lake”. We walk along field paths before recrossing the railway and the A52 then proceeding up the hill back to Barrowby.
