A lovely walk steep in places from the picturesque village of Downham, considered to be the most beautiful village in Lancashire.
Starting from Downham we follow the river out of the village, up to Pendle Hill. A steep climb to the top of Pendle Hill, rewards us with fantastic views. We then make our way down through Worston Moor, around the Mound, through the village of Chatburn and back to Downham, in time for a well earned drink at the Asheton Arms.
We attempted this walk in Nov but had to cut it short because of the rain, hopefully this time the weather will be kind to us.
Although this walk is moderate it is a steep climb to the top of Pendle Hill.
There is a free car park in Downham with toilets. Nearest Post Code BB7 4BS
Dogs allowed on a short lead.
