Climb steadily to reach the summit of An Cruach Mòr (‘the great stack’) for 360 degree views of the Argyll coast and a magnificent bird’s eye view of Mòine Mhór.
Some long steep slopes with uneven stone steps. Generally firm gravel surface, with some uneven and narrow sections. Short grassy section at summit may occasionally be wet.

The start of the walk is at the Dunardry car park, near to Lock 9 on the Crinan Canal.

There are no public toilets near by.
Walking sticks should be considered and sturdy walking shoes. If it is forecast to rain waterproof clothing is also recommended.
There are breaks for coffee & packed lunch, so bringing a flask of tea/coffee or a bottle of water or other light drink and something light to eat should also be considered.
The members of the group who meet at Lochgilphead carpark, on Lorne Street ( What3Words ///resorting.neck.jiggle ) at 09:30am, arrange car sharing to the start of the walk. Some members go directly to the start of the walk.
