Summer has arrived (though the weather seems to think otherwise!) and I’m trying to get back into a good mid-week routine of a walk before work!
This is a lovely wee 5km circuit by the River Dee, which is mostly on path and some pavement. It takes between 45mins to an hour max, and passes the ancient Brig O’ Dee, dating from 1527 (once the City of Aberdeen's southern boundary), Duthie Park, and the Wellington suspension footbridge. If we’re lucky we might spot herons, fox and the odd deer!

please sign up using the Meetup Link provided below. This is being run as a recurring weekly walk - separate sign up required for each date.
NB: We will depart promptly at 7.10, to make sure we’re back in time to enable onward travel for uni/college/work/school runs etc
This walk is doable in decent sports trainers, and although we’re not out in the wilds, it is still Aberdeen, so a cosy top and lightweight waterproof is always recommended, as well as water and a snack :)
The following AYW T&C’s apply:
• We will take a register
• If this is your 4th walk or more with us, Ramblers membership is required
• It’s up to individuals to take responsibility to wear the right kit appropriate for the time of year, weather conditions, and personal needs
• Well-behaved dogs welcome to join, just drop the walk leader a message to let us know in advance
• Well-behaved humans welcome too, especially new faces! Walk leaders retain the right to ask people to leave a walk if any behaviours cause concern
