Overview

From Echinswell village Hall CP the walk will briefly head north to Malthouse Farm before around to the west and southwest and to Earlstone Manor. A short coffee break is then planned next to the ponds. Continuing in a SW direction the walk will first paralleling and then join a disused railway line before reaching Old Burghclere.  From here the walk will then head to and rises up onto Ladle Hill (180 to 200m elevation) and the Wayfarer's Walk. Visibility permitting there should be good views. A picnic lunch stop is planned for here, weather permitting. Descending from Ladle Hill the walk returns to Echinswell via Sydmonton Court and Watership farm.
