Hello Everyone
We're eastbound for a change this Sunday with John & Jen at Snarestone in north-west Leicestershire. Our leaders have constructed this walk off the map and had fun on the consequential reccie, as you invariably do when you undertake this sort of thing.
Description from John himself: Starting from the Old Crown Inn and walking through a couple of “stone” villages to the end of two lines (one is a canal, the other a railway) along some minor roads, canal towpaths, open fields and woodland. Virtually flat, a few stiles.
Fancy it folks? Great - you're most welcome to join us of course, but if you're brand new to the group we'd appreciate it if you could let us know you'll be coming along a day or two beforehand please. Thank you.
Registration: 09.45. Walk start: 10.00. Walk leaders: John & Jen (07803 811563)
No facilities at the start but loo's available at Measham Leisure Centre via a diversion on the drive up.
⚠️Our own members should note the is no rendezvous at Hednesford for this event. Please go direct to the start.
Post walk refreshments at the Old Crown Inn, Snarestone, who have kindly allowed us to use their car park free of charge. Optional collection box on the bar for local charities if you'd like to donate something into that. Thank you.
See you all there on Sunday morning.
