Overview

From the start point, Heol Yr Ynys Car park, Gwaelod y Garth, after a short section on the road we take the path into Garth Wood which takes us into Coed y Bedw nature reserve we then join the Taff Ely Ridgway to the top of Garth Hill , the inspiration for the book and the film The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill But Came Down a Mountain. Here we can enjoy the panaromic views while we have our coffee break. We than take the easy descent  through fields and woodland to the River Taff. We folllow the river until we reach the footbridge which leads into the park where Taffs Well is situated. Then we pick up the Taff trail which takes us back to the start.
