A delightful evening stroll on Midgley Moor above Old Town, Hebden Bridge. We will start and end at the pub, and take in the rare splendour of the purple heather and possibly sample a few late bilberries! This is the northern landscape in all its unspoilt summer glory.
You may park at the pub if you intend to stop for a drink or meal after the walk, but also lots of on-road parking.
Be aware that the ground can be wet even in summer so please dress for the forecast conditions. Some uneven terrain will be encountered.
Dogs are welcome on a lead only - this is a sensitive landscape for lambs and ground-nesting rare birds.
