Overview

This is a 6-mile walk from Slad, made world-famous by Laurie Lee in his evocative childhood autobiography  “Cider With Rosie” it’s the Laurie Lee Wildlife Way which has glorious scenery and 10 of Laurie Lee’s poems at various places around the route.

Please bring food (eg sandwiches)and drinks for stops en route. After the walk you are welcome to join me in the Woolpack which was Laurie Lee’s local. During the walk I shell point out the house that Laurie Lee lived in when he was a boy in the 1910s and 1920s.If anyone wishes to visit his grave I can point it out.
