We are the Loughborough & District Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We start with a short walk through the plague village of Eyam and then follow the moors with extensive views to Hathersage and the hills. We go over Abney Moor to the village of Foolow, and then track down the well-hidden and unmarked but impressive Waterfall Swallet, shortly before returning to Eyam.
The walk is mostly on good paths or quiet country roads, with some steep sections; trekking poles are helpful. Please message the leader if coming, as we set out as soon as everyone is ready.
Please bring a packed lunch.
Upper car park at Eyam is free. If full, charge £6 in lower car park. Toilets at car park.
