We are the One Step Walkers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Gather and park your vehicle in the free upper parking area located on Hawkshill Road. Toilet facilities are available at the starting point and at the Grindleford Station cafe. You can also enjoy some refreshments at the Grindleford cafe.
The journey begins with a walk northward from Eyam, taking you over the picturesque Eyam and Offerton Moors, offering stunning, wide-open vistas. The trail then follows the meandering path alongside the River Derwent.
As we conclude the walk, we will return to Eyam, having crossed Froggatt Edge, although please be aware that this part of the journey may be influenced by daylight and weather conditions.
Considering the time of year, it's advisable to bring a torch to ensure proper visibility during the later stages of the walk, particularly in low light.
