Overview

Starting from the village of Patterdale this route takes us up to Birks and then St Sunday Crag before reaching Fairfield, the highest point of the walk. The descent includes Hart Crag and then the lovely valley of Dovedale Beck before walking along Brothers Water and back to Patterdale.

This is a strenuous walk of 10.5 miles and 3,400 ft of ascent and includes 4 Wainwrights.
