Overview

A walk of varying terrain following Shibden Dale upstream from Shibden Park. Of particular interest on this walk we will pass Lee House and Scout Hall, sometimes known as the "Calendar House," and brave a mysterious stone-flagged tunnel!

As with all winter walks in Calderdale there are some moderate ascents and descents which can be muddy. Waterproof clothing and boots are recommended. The river is crossed several times, and one crossing has no bridge so some care and nimbleness will be needed. A packed lunch is needed, but refreshments are available after the walk in the popular Shibden Park cafes.
