Annual Mince Pie walk with mulled wine

A short morning walk on Portsdown Hill stopping part way for free refreshments (mince pies and mulled wine/hot drinks). Refreshments: Outdoor seating where we stop for our mince pie (indoor seating if wet; toilets available). The refreshments are free and there is a collection for charity (split between Macmillan Cancer Support and Samaritans of Portsmouth and East Hampshire).
As we are walking on a chalk ridge some of the exposed chalk may be very slippery. Most of the paths are on grass but we do cross one cultivated field where it may be slippery.

Car park to the south of Fort Nelson * On the south side of Portsdown Hill Road, by the open space. Free parking here (there is charge for the main Fort car park). Height barrier to the main parking area. NOTE: PARKING CHARGE MAY APPLY BY DECEMBER - CHECK
