This walk has been cancelled due to heavy rain being forecast for all morning, and extremely wet and muddy conditions under foot, with lots of standing water.
We are the Southwell Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A stunning woodland walk in the heart of outlaw country, passing the place where Robin Hood met Friar Tuck in Fountaindale and battled all day long.
There are 3 stiles and steep but short uphill sections.
Please contact the Leader to let them know that you are coming on the walk. Please leave your name, contact telephone number and email address. Please also state whether you intend going to the designated meeting place or directly to the start of the walk. This will help ensure that you are not left behind. This should not be regarded as “booking a place on the walk.”
If you later find that you cannot come on the walk, please notify the Leader as soon as possible in order that the group is not waiting for you to arrive on the day.
There will be refreshment stops, and a lunch-time break, so bring some food and drink.
