We walk through the centre of Framlingham, cross Castle Meadow and head north on field margins, quiet lanes and tracks to Dennington. After a short break at the church, we continue our anticlockwise route, skirting Framlingham Hall, following the course of the River Ore over Durrant Bridge, back to Framlingham. Great views of the open landscape including the castle and college skylines.
Toilets available in Framlingham, Crown and Anchor lane between Fore Street and Church Street.
Several short cross field sections which might be muddy. One stile which dogs must go over. Short steep flights of steps of stone and wooden steps at the castle. Alternative route available.
