Overview

We start from the roadside parking by the Millenium Stones (near Royal Alexander and Albert School - do not park in the school car park). On leaving the Millenium Stones we pass under the M25 and climb steadily northwards (354ft over circa 3/4 of a mile) to join the Reigate and Banstead Millenium Trail (RBMT). We leave RBMT turning east along well marked footpaths and bridleways for circa 2 1/2 miles across rolling countryside and occasional woods before a descent of 380ft with good views across the valley and M25 passing the church of St Katherine's and return over the noisy M25. The final part of the walk follows the North Downs Way through Merstham cricket club, golf course and Royal Alexander and Albert School.
