Overview

Condense cars and drive 40 miles to Blair Atholl, parking at Old Bridge of Tilt carpark (OS 43 NN 876665).  From here we walk the Walkhighlands’ route up west side of Glen Tilt, reputed to be the most beautiful glen in the Highlands, returning on the east side.  We have a choice of route lengths:  either a 6 mile walk to Gilbert’s Bridge and back, or a 9 mile walk to Gaw’s Bridge near Marble Lodge.  The choice can be made on the day depending  on weather conditions and the group’s inclination.  We may be able to offer both alternatives with the agreement of the group.
