We'll start and finish the walk at Didsbury Village tram stop, passing through Didsbury Park, then to Fletcher Moss Park, taking a circular route, walking along the banks of the River Mersey and back towards Parsonage Gardens. The terrain is flat with good paths although they can be muddy in parts and we do have to walk on non slip wooden decking for a short distance.
There is a toilet near the entrance to Fletcher Moss and toilets at Parsonage Gardens where there are benches to sit and eat lunch before heading back to the Metro stop.
Fletcher Moss - was a very interesting person who lived in Parsonage Gardens and on his death in 1919 it was bequeathed to the people of Didsbury and Manchester. The story of his life and the building is available to read.
There is also a plaque to Emily Williamson the Founder of the RSPB on the wall of the Alpine Tearoom building in Fletcher Moss Park.
