Halford, Fulready and Ettington

Route Details:
From the cars we go in a Northerly direction for a few hundred yards before taking a right turn onto a footpath, which takes us through a small coppice, through a farmyard and to the hamlet of Fulready.
We then walk a short distance on a country lane until making a left turn back into fields, which takes us to Pillerton Priors, and our coffee stop at the site of the village church which was lost to fire in 1066.
Field paths again lead us in a generally northerly direction until we get the the outskirts of Pillerton Hersey, where we turn westwards, continuing on a bridleway to Ettington and our lunch stop at the Chequers.
As this pub serves food, we aren't able to eat our sandwiches there, but there's a tactically placed public bench 20 yards past the pub.
After lunch we head southwest on paths and another small country road until we pick up the Shakespeare's Way, which we follow all the way back to Halford.
