We are the Southam Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
To celebrate 40 years of Southam Ramblers we are walking the Harry Green Way Long Distance Walk in four sections
The second section is from Stockton to Ladbroke passing the extensive work creating the HS2 Rail Track. HS2 has extended the walk although the alternative route is all downhill. The walk is now of just over 6.3 Miles
The walk is mainly on good footpaths, and includes a section along the Grand Union Canal. There are a couple of more difficult stiles and a section through woodland that has been churned up by horses in the wet period during the winter. Towards the end of the walk there is a steady climb up hill towards the Ladbroke Water Works
The walk will start in Rectory Close, Stockton. Arrangements will be made to return walkers to their cars from Ladbroke. If walkers make their own arrangements please let the walk leader know on the day
The walk will finish on Windmill Lane Ladbroke. Transport will be available to take walkers back to their cars in Stockton
