We are the Black Country Young Walkers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Jean is leading a 8/9 mile easy round morning walk.
Walking from the common, past the riding centre, up a small hill and towards Charlton Farm. Reaching the railway line and walking along here until we reach the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal. Continuing until we reach the Basin. Here we will stop for a coffee/light packed lunch looking out over the River Severn and the locks.
After a break, walk along the River Severn. Due to flooding of the foot path, I’ve changed the walk, lovely views walking from the top of the bank, past a couple of farms and back to the Common.
Back for about 4pm
There is a cafe when we stop at the locks for a break for those who wish to sit inside if it’s raining or buy a take away hot drink.
Please arrive at 10:15 for a 10:30 start.

If you are unable to attend, please cancel your booking so that someone else can take your place. Please do not turn up for a walk without booking, as we will have to turn you away.
