The 10 mile walk comprises of walking three times either over or under the old disused railway line. It passes through Westwoodside, over farmland, past a newly created lake, to the Haxey Turbary now a woodland which has been colonised by Silver Birches. Climbing back to Haxey, lunch will be in the grounds of Haxey church then the ramble continues over three stiles along a track, through small holdings containing sheep, a disused windmill and eventually reaches a footpath which runs for a short distance along the side of the A161. Returning to Haxey on a track which links to the disused railway cutting footpath.
